The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra brings an exciting and diverse programme to warm the hearts of all music lovers this winter.
Winter Concert 2, held on 12 June, stars Russian pianist, Andrey Gugnin as soloist with acclaimed Japanese conductor Koji Kawamoto leading him and the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra in conduction.
The programme features performances of the following pieces:
-Sibisi's 'Heritage' Overture
-Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 1 in f-sharp minor
-Dvorák's Symphony No. 5, Op. 76 in F Major
The Winter Symphony Season runs from 5 to 26 June with concerts taking place every Thursday evening. The programme includes the return of popular conductors, and debut performances by an exciting line-up of soloists.
