Event information
The Wild Coast Sun Country Club at Port Edward is home to a challenging 18-hole championship golf course that stretches along the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape. Opened in 1983, the course forms part of the South African PGA circuit with a par-70 card rating.
The course’s architect, Robert Trent Jones Jnr, made every effort to utilise the natural topography and geography of the region so that the course blends in with its natural surrounds. This has created a dramatic golfing experience, played over hills, ravines, rivers, dams and waterfalls. Right from the opening hole, which sweeps down towards a lagoon, to the 18th with the Indian Ocean as its backdrop, the course is a challenge for professionals and amateurs alike.
