Vintage with Love brings sustainable fashion to the forefront, carefully curating a stylish selection of gently worn donated items, the profits from which go towards improving literacy in various parts of the country. The resale of pre-loved clothing also helps to reduce the amount of fashion waste that threatens the environment.
The platform focusses specifically on the resale of fashions from individuals in Johannesburg and Cape Town, but also accepts donations from designers and boutiques. Clothing categories for both donation and purchase include jumpsuits, dresses, tops, jerseys, bottoms, cover ups, shoes, clothing sets, jackets, coats and designer items. Items can be dropped off for donation at the various drop-off points in Cape Town at any time and can be purchased in-store at 46A Canterbury Street in Zonnebloem, or online.
The Vintage with Love charity was launched in 2013 to raise funds for charities through the sale of gently worn fashion and has since raised more than R8-million to support a number of charities around South Africa. Literacy charities such as Realema Teacher Intern Programme, Community Assisting Schools, Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy and the Click Foundation are all beneficiaries.
