Event information
Explore Cape Town in a van decked out with bright and vibrant street art in Kiff Kombi’s Urban Safari. The tour is an all in one alternative Cape Town experience, with District Six, Bo Kaap, Chapman’s Peak, Woodstock, a brewery and a winery all in one tour.
In the tour guests are shown the streets of District Six and taught about the town's history. The graffiti and murals on the walls touch on the social issues and painful history the town holds and symbolizes. Even more art is seen in Woodstock, a suburb famous for street art due to an initiative that was started many years ago. The van then heads to Bo Kaap for a more immersive community experience. Here, visitors will see more than it’s famed colourful houses, but also interact with the multi-cultural residents and learn about the town’s interesting origins.
A meal and drink are enjoyed at the popular spot, Devil’s Peak Brewery. The brewery offers multiple craft beers to choose from and guests can admire Table Mountain while enjoying one of their recommended beer and food pairings. A visit to a beautiful winery in Noordhoek for a winetasting follows with a view of the long beach and mountain range.
The van drives down the winding roads of Chapman's Peak that offer an incredible view of Noordhoek, Hout Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Guests should keep an eye open for dolphin and whales. The day ends in a secret sundowner spot with the Twelve Apostles mountain range as the background for drinks, relaxation and winding down.
The Urban Safari tour lasts 7 to 8 hours and can accommodate up to 9 people per group.
