Ubumnandi Festival brings its spring instalment to Hermanus, giving young people across the Overstrand region a platform to showcase talent across a wide range of creative disciplines. Founded by Master Blaq Entertainment, trading as Blue Sky South Africa, the festival was built specifically to give youth participants exposure in front of a large crowd of supporters travelling from across the country.
Disciplines covered include live music performance, photography, videography, graphic design, entrepreneurship, drawing and a local market component, positioning the event as a multi-category creative showcase rather than a single-genre music festival. The format allows a wide range of young creatives, not only musicians, to participate and be seen.
The festival forms part of a broader annual calendar from the same organisers, who also run a Summer Picnic edition later in the year at the same venue.
