Tshukudu Private Game Reserve is home to two Safari Lodges and borders the world renowned Greater Kruger National Park. A reserve that covers 3800ha, visitors to Tshukudu get to take in views of the Drakensberg Mountains and advantage of close encounters with numerous wildlife and bird species.
Opened in 1979, Tshukudu has restocked many other reserves in South Africa with wild animals and has been actively involved in the rehabilitation of orphaned animals back to the wild. The reserve is also involved in the public education and environmental awareness of their natural heritage, stating their main priority as the protection of Rhinos - 'Tshukudu' literally means Rhino in seSotho or seTswana.
