The Throwback Anime Market is a fun-filled day of anime-themed games and trivia, with amazing anime vendors on-site where anime-lovers can shop their favourite merch and collectibles.
Attendees can expect to play some anime-themed bingo and stand a chance to win some prizes, test their anime knowledge in a fast-paced trivia/quiz, and “defend” their favourite waifu/husbando in playful arguments. There is also a cosplay competition where the winner will walk away with a R1000 cash prize.
Beyond the major highlights, there are mini events such as a photo booth with props, a marshmallow challenge, a chibi sketch table where attendees can paint a chibi version of their favourite characters, anime-themed puzzles, and an anime makeup artist to help guests transform into an anime character.
