The Theatre on the Bay, situated in Camps Bay, is a beloved cultural gem and a beacon of the performing arts in South Africa.
Local theatre impresario Pieter Toerien established this intimate stage as a home to world-class entertainment for drama, comedy, dance, musicals, and cabarets. The venue is a regular host to some of South Africa's top performers, as well as productions visiting from overseas. It is the sister establishment to the Pieter Toerien Theatre & Studio in Montecasino in Johannesburg.
The theater's architecture and location, overlooking the picturesque Camps Bay, provide a charming backdrop for an evening of entertainment. With a seating capacity of 264, it offers an intimate and immersive experience for theatergoers, creating a strong connection between the audience and the performers.

The Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA) also have regular performances at the theatre.
