Cape Town's communal dining series returns to The Gin Bar for its fourth instalment, bringing together food and drink businesses around a shared long table in support of Ladles of Love, a Cape Town-based feeding initiative that provides meals and nutritional support to children and vulnerable communities across South Africa.
The evening's menu comes from chef Marn de Bluum's team, serving a traditional beef shepherd's pie alongside a vegetarian version with green salad. Produce for the dishes is sourced through Ladles of Love's own Feed the Soil programme, tying the meal directly back to the cause it supports.
Guests can expect artisan bread from Jason Bakery, wine from Elgin producer La Brune, and a dessert course from Honest Chocolate, all served family-style to encourage conversation between strangers seated at the same table. Net proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Ladles of Love.
