Morgenster Estate has launched The Giulio Range of wines in honour of the estate's founder Giulio Bertrand.
For his 30 years of dedication to the estate - which produces a range of wines, olives and olive products - the company has renamed Morgenster's Italian Collection to the Giulio range, Each of the wines was named in honour of Bertrand's passion for opera and is available from Morgenster or online.
The range:
Nabucco 2018: red wine with hints of cherries, spice, liquorice, earthiness and floral notes
Tosca 2018: a blend of Sangiovese and classic Bordeaux
Rigoletto 2022: created from Sangiovese vines that Bertrand had brought from his home country
Caruso 2022: a Sangiovese Rosé that represents Bertrand's work to bring Italian flavours to South Africa
Vespri 2022: with citrus flavours, this one pairs well with food
Morgenster Estate is located on the foothills of the Helderberg and is run by the Bertrand family.
