The Gift Market is Hermanus’s annual festive shopping destination, held at Curro Hermanus in Sandbaai at the height of the summer season. More than 150 exhibitors show their work in a calm setting, with products ranging from handmade crafts and artwork to locally sourced food and drink, toys and child accessories, home décor and jewellery.
The market highlights sustainable and eco-friendly products and gives local artisans and small businesses a platform. There is a dedicated men’s section for gadgets for dads, and families can enjoy face painting and storytelling, and meet Santa. It is also a good place for last-minute gifts, and for coffee and cake while browsing.
The market is open every day of the week. The organisers also run a smaller winter market at the same venue.
