According to the co-founder Franck Dangereux, The Foodbarn was partly motivated by spending time with his family, partly motivated by surfing the surrounding spots, and partly based on a new phase of his career.

Wine Thursday is a deliciously informal food and wine affair…literally, wine makes love with food. The concept is simple - our winemaker friends bring a selection of wine, Franck tastes and creates a pairing menu, (the menus are shared two weeks prior) and the rest is a very chilled evening, about 4-5 hours of tasting wine, eating food, sharing stories, and just having a good laugh.
