The historic Boschendal Farm in Franschhoek is a place to experience luxury farm living through their award-winning food and wines, incredible natural landscapes, variety of outdoor activities and the farm shop and butchery.
Visitors to the farm can have sunset picnics on the grounds, visit the high-class restaurants or participate in farm tours, mountain bike trails, or horse riding all in one place. The regular night markets that take place in Boschendal combine artisanal food and drink, handmade goods, produce, cocktails and wines with the wonderful gardens and mountain views.
Children can enjoy The Tree House playground, which features acorn hideouts, slides, walkways, platforms, mushroom pods and pyramids and pump tracks. Here, Boschendal regularly hosts educational programs for their young guests.
Guests are also welcome to book a guided farm tour, where they are taught about the farm's history, practices and sustainable gardening. While touring the beautiful grounds, guests are welcome to harvest seasonal herbs from the herb garden and visit the chicken farm for some fresh farm eggs. Tours are complimentary for all guests staying in Bschendal’s accommodation.
Boschendal additionally hosts other exciting events and activities for visitors to book, such as a drive-in cinema and open water swim, as well as easter table and jewellery making workshops.
