The Absa Cape Epic is one of the most prestigious mountain bike stage races in the world, held annually in South Africa.
It typically spans over eight days and covers around 700 kilometres of challenging terrain, including steep climbs, technical descents, and varied landscapes. Wild and open, sometimes inhospitable and other times staggeringly beautiful, this land both tests and surprises all who tackle its ungroomed trails.
Teams of two riders from around the globe, both professional and amateur, compete against each other in a test of endurance, skill, and teamwork. The race attracts some of the biggest names in mountain biking, as well as enthusiasts looking for the ultimate challenge.
