Event information
Once a paddock, Spier’s Food Garden is now a thriving space where visitors can experience regenerative farming in action. The garden produces a wide variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables using compost, worm castings, and natural sprays instead of synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. Its seasonal harvests supply Spier’s restaurants and are also available for purchase at The Cowshed Shop.
Open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset, the garden welcomes visitors to explore at their own pace or chat with the gardeners for practical advice on organic growing. Guests can also take part in self-harvesting sessions, offered Tuesday to Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00. For R170, participants can handpick their own fresh produce to take home, a hands-on way to experience life on the farm.
