Dive into the vibrant heart of Soweto after dark with Soweto Night Out, offering safe and thrilling night tourism experiences.
This unique tour begins with a convenient shuttle from Rosebank, whisking visitors away to the lively streets of Soweto. The nights out include guided tours with exclusive nighttime access to at least two historic sites, offering an intimate and informative way to discover the rich heritage of Soweto.
Tour guests also get to indulge in the local cuisine and enjoy three drinks from one of the local restaurants. Additionally, every Tuesday night, guests can immerse themselves in the local music scene at Soweto's longest-standing live band open mic event, Sawubona Music Jams, where they are exposed to unknown talents and can even join in on the fun themselves.
Throughout the tour, guests are also delighted by surprise performances and opportunities to taste local delicacies. Some tour highlights include getting to pass through Winnie Mandela's House, Nelson and Winnie Mandela's Joint Home, and Confrontation Corner, the historic spot where 15 000 students clashed with police on 16 June 1976.
