Socially Gathering is a community for women in South Africa, offering opportunities to build friendships and professional networks through in-person events. It was created to provide a safe and welcoming environment for women to connect and engage beyond online interactions.
The community facilitates two core initiatives. Finding Female Friendships is an online and offline space where women can meet and form meaningful connections. She Means Business provides a supportive network for women in business, encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Regular events include a free monthly women's walk in Johannesburg and Cape Town, where participants can meet in a relaxed setting. A monthly girls’ dinner also takes place at the same time in both cities, offering another opportunity for social engagement.
Additional events are held throughout the year, such as paint-and-sip lunches, coffee dates, networking sessions, and business panels. These gatherings aim to foster a sense of community while allowing women to expand their social and professional circles.
Socially Gathering maintains an inclusive approach, welcoming women from all backgrounds and walks of life. Participation in events is open to all women over 18, and details are shared via social media and WhatsApp groups to those interested in joining.
