The Spice Yard is a vibrant, diverse business environment that is growing into its role as an ever-expanding hub for creatives and forward-thinking entrepreneurs. Here artists work ranges from finely detailed pieces in ink and gouache on paper, to abstract portraits using 'stamp' technique, to 3-D collages, and to fine artists working in oils and alcohol ink.
SideTrack Studios was launched in 2020 by artist Claude Chandler. The venture is a follow-on to his stint at EastSide Studios, which he managed for 3 years. The idea of SideTrack is to have purpose-built studios, allowing the spaces to feel professional and functional for artists. The finishes are of high quality, giving resident artists a sense of professionalism and pride.
