Event information
After uniting diverse underground nightlife collectives and LGBTQ+ culture for the first time earlier this year, Sheer City is back with another night of floor-rumbling, foot-thumping electronic music.
With Botanik Social House as the backdrop, guests can enjoy a beautiful view of the Company Gardens while taking in the psychedelic grooves of Mexican DJ star Rebolledo alongside local producers Resident DTK, Richard Marshall, El Gordo, and Wata Mami.
Noted by Forbes as one of the most important creatives in Mexico, Rebolledo is a DJ and electronic music producer known for his experimental brand of disco, techno, and tribal house. Starting in his home country, he has since become an international star, most famously performing with the Mayan Warrior collective at Burning Man and as one half of Pachanga Boys alongside Superpitcher.
His headlining of Sheer City’s first winter warmer event marks his first-ever set of performances in Africa. The night features two dance floors, limited VIP tables, and three bars to ensure no one is stuck waiting for drinks. Downstairs is a night of veteran DJs with Rebolledo filling in the coveted midnight slot, while upstairs sees some Cape Town favourites, including Fogshow, Housewife, and Kong, keeping up the energy.
The event kicks off Sub Sahara’s 2026 Seasons Tour in collaboration with Sheer City and Diskotekah to preserve the queer-friendly, all-inclusive atmosphere that both organisations are known for. Sheer Disko is hosted at Botanik Social House, a diverse events space in the middle of the Mother City, with top-of-the-range lighting and sound, and a unique greenhouse aesthetic that is perfect for winter.
