Set in Motion is a dance theatre production staged by the Figure of 8 Dance Theatre Company as part of the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees.
The production won the KKNK Herrie Award which recognises ground-breaking artistry and is directed by Grant van Ster, with a soundtrack by Shaun Oelf, including music by Franco Prinsloo.
Set in Motion explores the internal and external forces that pull people into opposite directions, the twists and turns that make them feel trapped and often prevent them from embracing their full life potential. While exploring these motifs, the production also explores how one's own unique qualities can build up enough momentum to find a place where life makes sense for them.
