The Goethe-Institut's Science Film Festival Family Day is day full of innovation, creativity, and sustainable solutions.
In cooperation with local partners, it promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films with accompanying educational activities.
The 2024 theme is Net Zero and the Circular Economy and focuses on films showcasing the importance of net zero concepts and the circular economy in addressing climate challenges.
This is where families come together to explore the wonders of the circular economy through engaging science film screenings, interactive discussions and hands-on activities.
Since its launch in 2005, this event has grown to reach over half a million viewers annually, running in 30 countries from 1 October to 20 December. It is a celebration of science communication across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America!
