Event information
A hugely popular pool built into a rocky crevice next to Saunders Beach at the Bantry Bay end of Sea Point. The granite rocks create a wind barrier, giving it shelter on windy days. It’s a good choice for an early-morning swim or a relaxed dip at sunset, with fewer crowds than some other tidal pools. The surrounding rocks are popular for sunbathing, and at low tide you can explore small marine life in the shallows. A short walk away, Sea Point’s cafés, restaurants, and bars make it easy to turn a swim into a full outing.
