Event information
Running Late Club, established in Cape Town in 2018, is a collective of "Everyday Athletes" united by a shared commitment to running, fitness, and camaraderie. Known for its welcoming and inclusive ethos, the club champions the philosophy that it’s “rather late than never” to pursue fitness goals or rediscover forgotten ambitions.
What sets Running Late Club apart is its focus on creating a supportive environment where participants of all paces and fitness levels feel encouraged to grow. Members benefit from a balance of structured accountability and the freedom to chase personal milestones at their own speed, whether aiming for consistency, personal bests, or a first foray into running.
The club’s vibrant community fosters connection and collaboration, blending fitness with opportunities for social interaction. Regular events and activities are designed to accommodate a diverse group of individuals who seek more than just a workout, emphasizing a shared journey toward wellness and achievement. Running Late Club has become a cornerstone for those who value both physical progress and meaningful relationships within Cape Town’s fitness scene.
Running Late Club offers a social run every Wednesday evening from Saunders Rock parking lot in Sea Point, with 5km and 7km options, as well as an early morning run every Friday from TwoFortyTwo coffee shop at 2 Ravenscraig Rd, Green Point. It also occasionally arranges collab events with brands. Check the Instagram feed for details (and some great content).
