Event information
Run for Dignity is a community driven fun run and walk that combines physical activity with meaningful social impact. Participants are invited to take part in either a 5km or 10km route, creating an inclusive space where individuals of all fitness levels can get involved, whether running, walking, or simply showing support. The event is designed to be as much about connection and community as it is about movement.
At its core, the initiative raises awareness around period poverty while supporting efforts to provide essential sanitary products to women and girls in need. Enjoy complimentary refreshments on the day, with exciting prizes up for grabs! Every rand raised will go directly to Girls With Wiings, funding the purchase of sanitary products for women and girls facing period poverty. Girls With Wiings is a Cape Town-based, women-led nonprofit working to restore dignity and create opportunity for homeless and underprivileged women through practical, grassroots solutions.
By linking participation to purpose, the event transforms a simple run into a collective act of care and contribution. With a focus on accessibility, community spirit, and impact, Run for Dignity offers a meaningful way to engage, combining a healthy outdoor activity with a tangible opportunity to make a difference.
