Event information
RMB Ultra-trail Cape Town returns for its 2026 edition, closing out the World Trail Majors season with six distances across Table Mountain National Park and the Cape Peninsula, from an accessible 16km through to the gruelling 100 Mile UTCT. All races start and finish at Gardens Rugby Club, with routes taking in Lion's Head, Signal Hill, the Constantia Winelands and, for the 100 Mile, the more remote southern peninsula through Silvermine, Kalk Bay, Simon's Town and Kommetjie.
The 2025 edition drew 2,800 athletes from 66 countries, with South African runners sweeping both the men's and women's 100 Mile titles and taking all three places on the women's podium. Entries for the shorter distances sold out earlier in the year, leaving places only in the 100km UT100 and 100 Mile UTCT, with the UT100 approaching a potential first-ever sellout twelve years after the inaugural race.
Organisers introduced the Hundreds Wall of Honour in 2025, a permanent tribute recognising every runner who has completed either the 100km or 100 Mile distance, framed as recognition for the training, setbacks and support that go into reaching the milestone.
The 100km UT100 serves as the final race of the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors series.
