Red Bull Unlocked is making its debut in the Mother City with an all-star lineup of artists and is set to transform Maker’s Landing at the V&A Waterfront into the epicentre of music, dance, drinks, and energy.
The event is a showcase of amapiano, deep house, hip-hop, or gqom music with games, hidden bars, food and more. In addition to the main event at Makers Landing, there are micro venues hosting an eclectic mix of some of South Africa's most talented DJs, producers, and rappers. Micro venues include Modular, Destiny, SOUK, ARCADE and Café Caprice among others.
The lineup brings together some of South Africa's most dynamic and influential figures in the music scene. While there are over 70 on the bill, some of the headliners include MÖRDA, a celebrated DJ and music producer known for his electrifying blend of electronic music with traditional African sounds; Vigro Deep, a leading figure in the Amapiano genre whose deep, soulful beats have captivated audiences nationwide; and DJ Ready D, a legendary turntablist who has played a pioneering role in shaping South African hip-hop.
Also taking the stage are rising Amapiano star KMAT, introspective rapper A-Reece, deep house producer Dwson, and innovative house music producer Thakzin.
The lineup continues with Que DJ, Abidoza, Master Piece, Pierre Johnson, Tristan Urwin, MajorSteez, Mshayi, Killer Robot DJ, Lady M, Kyle Roussow, KASH cpt, KONG, Boyzn DJ, Max Hurrel, Audio Jerk, Blaq Kongo, Gremlin, Venom DJ, and Ayanda MVP among a whole host of others.
