Recitals at Glenshiel presents 'Earth, Wind and Wire', a rarely heard instrumental combination of trumpet, violin and piano.
Outstanding local musicians Dieter Hendricks (violin), Richard Kingon (trumpet) and Kerryn Wisniewski (piano) join forces for a scintillating and unusual mixture of chamber music, and a rising young musical talent opens the show for the trio.
The programme features the following works:
- 5 Melodies, Op. 35, by Sergei Prokofiev (Violin and Piano)
- 7 Popular Spanish Songs, by Manuel de Falla (Trumpet and Piano)
- Trio in E-flat for Trumpet, Violin and Piano, by Eric Ewazen (Trumpet, Violin, Piano)
- Brave Wolfe, by Mark O'Connor (Trumpet and Violin)
