Brookdale Bistro takes part in the third edition of Proe Paarl, a month-long initiative bringing together nine restaurants on the Paarl Wine Route with specially priced menus. The Eat Out One Star-rated bistro, led by Executive Chef Gary Coetzee, is serving a set Proe Paarl menu through August that includes a complimentary glass of wine from the Mason Road range.
Starters include country pâté, Chinese dumplings or Saldanha Bay mussels, followed by mains such as butternut risotto, pan-seared fish of the day or char-grilled venison, and a tonka bean chocolate log to close. Coetzee has framed the initiative as encouraging visitors to explore the Paarl Wine Route, roughly a 45-minute drive from Cape Town. Reservations are recommended.
