Established in March 2011, POPArt theatre quickly cemented itself as the premier performance space in Johannesburg, becoming the go-to venue for live art performances, improv and dance.
POPArt has now evolved into a production hub, providing both online and POPUp shows at various venues while working towards the creation of a new creative space for their community of artists and fans alike.
The production hub offers live streaming opportunities, such as 'ZoomProv', where actors and comedians perform live improv shows for their viewers on Zoom. The company continues their partnership with the Market Theatre club to provide pop-up training sessions at different venues and institutions for professionals as a decentralised performing arts centre.
