Event information
Renowned musician and Maroon 5-member, PJ Morton, is set to electrify South Africa once again this September with his highly anticipated 'Cape Town To Cairo Tour'.
The South African leg of the tour spans three cities — Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town — each promising a unique and intimate experience for fans. The Johannesburg show is staged as part of the Old Mutual Music in the Gardens series and features special performances by Afro-Soul-Jazz artist Mandisi Dyantyis and African folk and Soul artist, Wandile Mbambeni.
The local stars set stage for a celebration of the rich musical tapestry that South Africa offers in a collaboration that highlights Morton’s deep respect and appreciation for South African artistry. For Morton, this tour is more than just a series of performances; it’s a homecoming to the place that sparked the creativity behind his latest album after which this tour is named, 'Cape Town to Cairo'.
South African audiences can expect a dynamic experience, with Morton being supported by the Afro Orleans band who are set to bring an energy that promises to elevate the live performance to new heights.
