The Pinelands Craft & Gift Fair is a family-run December fair in the Kent Hall at Pinelands High School, run by Jenni Brassington and her two daughters, Sarah and Emma. It gives shoppers a relaxed, child-friendly way to do their Christmas and end-of-year shopping in one of the city’s leafiest suburbs.
More than 200 carefully selected crafters, entrepreneurs and artists sell handcrafted cards and decorations, leather, basket and wire work, glassware, needlework, jewellery, ceramics, soaps, books, clothing, woodwork, metalwork, children’s gifts and treats. A pop-up nursery selling plants is a regular feature.
Instead of paying at each stall, shoppers use a single central pay point with card facilities and a streamlined exit, which saves time, and the fair is cashless. Entry is free, with secure parking, and a local coffee shop nearby serves light bites and coffee.
