Brilliant young South African pianist, Isaac van der Merwe presents an amazing afternoon of classical music.
The young talent has been rapidly making a name for himself on South African stages with his masterful execution of the classical music form. For this intimate afternoon of music, he plans to tackle pieces from a number of renowned classical virtuosos.
Guests can expect to hear renditions of Bach's Partita in E minor BWV 830: Toccata and Gigue, Beethoven's Sonata in E major op. 109, Chopin's 'Heroic' Polonaise in A-flat major op. 53 and Liszt's Funérailles from Harmonies poétiques et religieuses S. 173. Van der Merwe also presents his own Preludes in E minor.
