Ben Schoeman, the South African pianist lauded by critics locally and abroad for his performances of immense craftsmanship, returns to Northwards House for a performance of music from the baroque, classical and romantic eras.
Schoeman's setlist features renditions of Bach's Keyboard Partita no. 4 in D major, BWV 828, Beethoven's Sonata no. 23 in F minor, Op. 57 (“Appassionata”), Fauré's Nocturne no. 6 in D flat major, Op. 63, and Liszt's Sonata in B minor, S. 178. He also performs South African pianist and composer, Jeanne Zaidel-Rudolph's Ebb and Flow (2019).
