Event information
The first Peter Falke wine, a Signature Cabernet Sauvignon, was produced in 2003. The estate produces two ranges: the Signature Collection, aimed at the discerning wine connoisseur and distinguished by a contemporary mirrored label, and the more accessible PF Collection, which spans a broader, more relaxed style profile. A sculpture by artist Strijdom van der Merwe features on the estate grounds.
Set on Groenvlei Farm on Annandale Road, this boutique wine estate occupies an 18th-century Cape Dutch property on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains. The estate was acquired in 1995 by German-born Franz-Peter Falke, whose family has been active in South Africa since 1969 through the Falke hosiery business. His wife, Parisian interior designer Daniele Gortz, shaped the interiors, blending European influences with the farm's historic character.
The tasting room and adjacent outdoor lounge area accommodate both formal portfolio tastings and informal seating on the lawn. Dining options include a kitchen serving light meals and regular themed food-and-wine pairing events. Bookings are required for groups of ten or more. On-site parking is available.
