Situated inside an antique store and nursery, Our Local is a food experience that brings people together around one table in a unique environment.
Serving breakfasts and lunch all day, 7 days a week, their menu offers their specialty of open toasts and popular Arnold Bennett, Shakshuka, pastries, and other comfort foods.
Patrons sit amongst hanging plants, pot plants, pom grass, vases, pots, and antique furniture that all have a price tag for anyone looking to take a piece of this green space home with them. There are plug points and the WIFI is fair making the shared long table a great spot to work from.
In the evenings, Our Local hosts private events from private dinner parties to canape-style events and weddings. They aim to bring something new to the Cape Town foodscape, inspired by a love of entertaining at home. The owners promise this to be like "the perfect brunch in your botanist's best friend's greenhouse."
