Open Studios Fish Hoek & Clovelly

Event information

The Deep South's annual self-guided art trail returns for its second edition, more than doubling in size from its 2025 debut. Open Studios Fish Hoek & Clovelly (OSFHC) gives the public direct access to the working studios of more than 30 artists across 20 locations in Fish Hoek and Clovelly, including two new shared studio hubs, Mothership Studios and Fish Hoek Studios.

Every participating artist is selected by a dedicated committee, a curatorial standard the organisers have maintained despite the growth in scale. Newcomers this year include bronze sculptor Chris Bladen, oil painter Mandy Lake, photographer Angela Buckland, whose work has been shown at the Iziko National Gallery and Durban Art Gallery, illustrator Nicolene Louw and multidisciplinary artist Jasper Wolfeman.

A ticketed preview on Friday 9 October opens the trail to collectors ahead of the free public weekend, with proceeds supporting Project Flamingo, a non-profit that funds breast cancer surgeries and patient support within South Africa's public healthcare system. The preview opens at AP Jones on Fish Hoek Main Road with a live installation and performance, plus a coffee voucher from Peak Café and a glass of wine from Lubanzi Wines.
