Local musician and lead singer/songwriter Steven Dayvid McKellar of rock and alternative/indie band Civil Twilight, headlines the fourth show in the new Texx and the City's event series, On The Record powered by Shure.
On The Record is all about celebrating sounds and the stories and inspirations behind them, centering each performance around the Music as well as the Storytelling element attached to it. Taking place at The Outlore Base in Cape Town, the venue is transformed and styled for each show to reflect the mood, but most importantly, the tale that each musician wants to tell.
Since his venture into solo projects, McKellar has established a distinct sound for himself among the indie alternative and indie rock genres. His solo projects have seemingly intertwined with his passion for art, with some of his EP and single covers featuring works of his own.
