This boutique family-owned wine estate is built around the Rondekop, a distinctive round hill at the centre of the property. The estate holds WWF Conservation Champion accreditation, reflecting its regenerative farming approach, which includes indigenous fynbos corridors, cover cropping, solar power, and the use of natural predators such as guinea fowl, wasps and ladybirds for pest control.
The Tasting Room is staffed by certified sommeliers who present wines with an emphasis on connecting visitors to the vineyard's specific terroir and winemaking process. Two tasting formats are offered: a standard flight of eight wines with a complimentary food offering, and a Museum Class tasting using the Coravin system to access library wines presented in Zalto stemware.
The estate produces wines under three labels: the premium Rondekop series, which focuses on single-site expressions of the estate's terroir; the Oldenburg Vineyards series, a collection of single-cultivar wines across varieties including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Roditi and Syrah; and the CL Series, a lighter, more accessible range.
A restaurant, picnic area and swimming pool are available, alongside exclusive villa accommodation at the on-site Homestead. Reservations are essential for the tasting room. Free on-site parking is available.
