The Old Mutual Music in the Gardens Series invites incredible South African acts to perform in a picnic-style concert at various outdoor venues in Johannesburg.
The November series features popular singer-songwriters, Zonke Dikana and Simmy. Zonke Dikana, known simply as Zonke, is a critically acclaimed and widely nominated shining star in the South African music scene, responsible for hits including 'Uyandithanda', 'Feelings', 'Jik'izinto', and many more.
Simphiwe Majobe Nhlangulela, better known by her stage name Simmy gained prominence in 2018, after the release of her debut studio album 'Tugela Fairy' that spawned hit singles 'Ngiyesaba', "Ubala', 'Umahlalela'. Since then, she has become a force to be reckoned with in South African music, with many award nominations and wins under her belt.
Fans can bring along picnic blankets, small beach-style umbrellas and camping chairs along with them to relax under the sun as they take in the musical talents of these showstoppers. The concert starts at 1pm and ends at 6pm.
Note that food, drinks, hard cooler boxes and gazebos are not permitted.
