MusicEx is an experiential event designed to engage, excite and captivate music lovers by giving them the opportunity to browse products, attend educational sessions, enjoy live performances from major South African artists, and share their passion for music with others.
The event features everything from an indoor music festival to an exhibition, a music lounge, a Battle of the Best, Festival Lane, a marketplace, Buskers Corner and various workshops. The exhibition element features various exhibitors that speak to the different facets of music creation and enjoyment along with a variety of instrument retailers, studio equipment and more.
The Battle of the Best is a competition for local talent offering substantial prizes. Attendees can be inspired, entertained, learn, get creative and network. Festival Lane is where attendees get to enjoy drinks and delicious food while listening to buskers.
The workshops provide an opportunity to learn from the experts at MusicEx with a series of talks and workshops on different aspects of music creation. The entire event is dedicated to showcasing and uplifting homegrown South African talent.
