Event information
The centre houses over 20 studios and workshops, a greenhouse and nursery, a forge, and a restaurant and organic deli farm shop. The well-stocked Montebello Shop supports local craft with a special interest in products made from waste. Stock includes items made from glass, fabric, metal, paper and alien vegetation.
Montebello, in association with the D (design) School at the University of Cape Town, host collaborative design spaces, dubbed D Desks, for young innovators who are developing design ideas, or working in the design field and could benefit from working in a collaborative space.
Montebello also accommodates classes and regular events. The peaceful setting makes it a relaxing place to enjoy a meal and have a meander.
