Montagu Wines is a small co-operative wine cellar situated right at the beginning of the Little Karoo about 200km from Cape Town. The cellar was founded in 1941 with fifteen members and expanded quickly with a formal property.
The wine cellar won numerous awards over the years and is one of the very few wineries in the region that structure their offering primarily to the South African market and our palate. A select range of dry white and red, sparking wine, and muscadel forms part of their collection. Also available are sparkling white and red grape juice. Try the Mont Massif with its bold aroma of berry notes and faint hints of vanilla and nuts.
The cellar is also well-known for their muscadel at a great price point which comes in white and red varieties and is produced using the traditional method.
