Meuse Farm believes in growing food with flavour. This starts with healthy soils but also means choosing varieties (both old and new) bred for tasting good rather than shipping or storing well.
The farm on the back slopes on Table Mountain grows specialty vegetables, herbs, and dye plants for a community of Cape Town’s high end chefs, including those at Fyn, Salsify at the Roundhouse, and the Chefs Warehouse Group.
The love of farming at Meuse stems from a fascination with the world of seed and crop varieties, intellectual curiosity about soil science, botany, and ecosystem management, and a desire to spend time outdoors in the dirt. This passion is shared through a variety of open days, fine dining (brunches and dinners) and creative workshops (food, flowers, photography and more).
The events at Meuse Farm weave together a passion for engaging the community in curiosity, wonder, and care for the earth, with a boundless love of seasonal, flavourful food.
