Event information
The venue runs outreach and education programmes, offering workshops, talks and guided tours for groups.
Since opening in 1994, the diversity in exhibitions of both local and non-local artists on show has rapidly expanded. The majority of works are produced in KwaZulu Natal, reflecting the variety in culture and artistic range of the region. There is also a school corner which consists of works created by learners at local schools.
The Margate Art Museum consists of a main gallery, a conservation room, an educational venue and exhibition space.
