Louise Decor & Design hosts a solo exhibition by Manfred Zylla, an Observatory artist and activist whose work has spanned more than 60 years. The collection is rooted in the nature found on his doorstep and in the eclectic streets of Observatory, finding beauty in the ordinary and overlooked.
True to Zylla’s long commitment to socially conscious art, the works also carry elements of resistance to contemporary global issues, linking the delicate detail of the natural world to urgent political and environmental questions.
The show includes a demonstration of his process and technique, using gouache and glass printing, which offers a rare look into a master’s studio practice. The evening is billed as a celebration of art, activism and community. Louise Decor & Design is an interior design studio that also functions as a small gallery.
