The Homestead is an non-profit organisation that provides shelter, education and support to street children and vulnerable youth in the city by operating a number of programmes aimed at providing long-term solutions.
They are pleased to share the theme of this years' #MandelaDay campaign: We CAN do more!
On this Mandela Day, the Homestead is asking volunteers and the public to please donate cans of tinned food to The Homestead Head Office located at 150 Strand Street, de Waterkant, Cape Town. The donated items will go towards assisting us to feed over 400 beneficiaries of The Homestead this winter.
They are hoping to reach the goal of building a *tower of care* comprising 6700 cans.
