Linda Van Coppenhagen is returning home from Germany to perform in Johannesburg for the first time in over fourteen years.
Linda has been singing professionally in Germany since 2011. Subsequent to her winning first prize in "The AKTVMusiqanto Classical Singing Competition" in Stellenbosch in 2010, she relocated to Germany to pursue her singing career.
Linda performs songs from her debut album, 'Heimwee'. This Northwards House concert marks the South African launch of the album, which features both German and Afrikaans classical art songs.
This exclusive CD launch concert offers a unique opportunity to meet Linda in person, and CDs have been made available for sale at the event. During the concert, Linda also shares insight into the creative process that gave birth to her album.
Two professional South African musicians accompany her for this show: the excellent Paul Ferreira on the piano and the virtuoso clarinetist Lizet Smith.
