The South African State Theatre in association with Arts in Motion presents Lifted- Let the blind sing, a music production created with the intention to embrace, bring awareness, and promote musical artists living with disabilities.
Created and directed by Naledi Theatre Award-winner Zakhele Mabena, the musical production features a talented cast of musical artists living with different disabilities.
The musical arts are Ga-Rankuwa Requesters a sextet of talented blind musical artists accompanied by mainstream artists living with disabilities such as Gospel singers Tshepo Nkadimeng, Maira Skosana and Sebenzile ''Sebeh'' Kuzwayo as well as Bongani Khoza and the outstanding guitarist Willie Matsemela.
In addition, Lekae Combrinck-Nawa a multimedia artist is a feature cast member in the show and the award-winning singer Nhlanhla Dube is the narrator of the show.
