Event information
Renowned storyteller Cameron Peters leads participants on a journey through the natural highway of the Liesbeek River.
Detailing the story of how the areas from Rondebosch to Bishopscourt came to be, this walking tour is an opportunity to delve deep into the places and stories of this culturally important area. Along the way, participants will learn all about the diverse botanical kingdom, the historical brewing industry, and the homestead architecture that make the area so memorable.
Starting at the gates of Rustenberg Girls and ending at the beautiful Paradise Park, this is a slow walking tour up the Liesbeek River trail. This suburban adventure is somewhere between a small hike and a relaxing gallivant, so attendees can expect a relaxed tour of the Southern Suburbs.
R10 from each ticket goes to the Friends of the Liesbeek organisation to raise awareness about the river, rehabilitate its wildlife, and conserve its environs.
