Event information
Letaba Elephant Hall can be found within the Letaba Rest Camp. The specialist museum covers elephant evolution, biology, behaviour, ecology and research. It also showcases the ivory of eight of Kruger's greatest tuskers, including six of the Magnificent Seven. This site introduces you to these, and some of Kruger's other big tuskers.
The venue also has fun and games events for kids, and information for schools and educators. Peruse their recommended reading for some excellent elephant publications, or access their links page to access other useful sources of information on elephants.
Letaba Elephant Hall is the only museum dedicated to elephants in South Africa and includes a complete elephant skeleton, and a replica of an elephant's heart. Letaba Rest Camp is located in the north of Kruger National Park, 50 km from the nearest entry gate to the park at Phalaborwa.
